PubCon Hanover is the largest SEO networking event in the German-speaking world and took place for the first time in 2003 in Hanover. At the time, members came exclusively from the ABAKUS Forum, the largest German-speaking SEO community. Since the introduction of SEMSEO in 2006, attendees at the expert conference can also take part in the evening event. Founder Alan Webb always attaches great importance to the entertainment at PubCon. This is why stand-up comedians and live acts are an integral part of the agenda, as is the obligatory karaoke singing, which is opened by Alan every year, usually with a Frank Sinatra song.

Exclusive setting for PubCon 2011

We have selected a very special location for PubCon 2011: the Jungle Palace at Hanover Zoo. Whether it’s in the magical great room of the Maharajah or amid the grounds of the Indian Jungle Palace, PubCon 2011 will enable attendees to network, wine and dine in an exclusive and wonderful setting.

This year we are offering two types of SEMSEO tickets to allow anyone who wants to come to PubCon to do so: the ‘SEMSEO Only' ticket and the 'SEMSEO & PubCon’ ticket. A small surcharge of EUR 20 applies to the latter ticket. “This contribution towards expenses for PubCon is aimed primarily at optimising the planning and efficiency of PubCon,” says Alan Webb, founder of SEMSEO and PubCon and CEO of ABAKUS Internet Marketing GmbH. Background: Not all SEMSEO attendees come to PubCon after the conference, which continues to be one of the largest networking events in the industry. In 2011, free capacities are expected to be made increasingly available to the community of the well-known ABAKUS forum in order to wholeheartedly fulfil the networking concept.

SEMSEO 2010 was attended by a total of 350 people in Hanover’s Old Town Hall. More than 400 visitors attended the PubCon evening event at the HBX Brewery.
